Eddie Izzard runs 27 Marathons in 27 days helped by physio!
Eddie Izzard started out ‘below zero’ in fitness when he ran the first Marathon race of 27 across South Africa, says his physiotherapist Tim Cruse-Drew who was with him every step of the way. Normally training would start 6 months prior so running 27 Marathons in a row when physically unprepared is an incredible feat that shows how hands-on physio and mental resilience can deliver. Mr Cruse-Drew says: ‘To go from zero to a double Marathon in 28 days is extraordinary. Elite athletes I work with wouldn’t try that.’ Eddie Izzard raised more than £2 million for Sport Relief.
