Meet Our Team

Mr.Jyothish Kumaran, BSc.PT, HCPC, MCSP.

Expert assessment. Holistic treatment. Lasting results.

Jyothish Kumaran, known as Jo, joined Ealing Physiotherapy in 2018 and has become an integral member of the clinical team. As a highly experienced Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist, he specialises in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute injuries to complex, longstanding pain presentations.

Jo graduated at the top of his Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme, earning a Gold Medal for academic excellence. Since then, he has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in manual physiotherapy, equipping him with advanced skills to accurately diagnose and effectively manage both acute and persistent musculoskeletal conditions.

Areas of Expertise

Jo has worked with athletes, paediatric patients, and older adults, giving him a broad and diverse clinical perspective. His specialist interests include:

  • Spinal and peripheral joint pain
  • Sports injuries and rehabilitation
  • Vertigo and vestibular disorders
  • Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction
  • Headaches
  • Tinnitus
  • Dysmenorrhoea
  • Testicular pain

These specialised areas of practice distinguish Jo from many physiotherapists, allowing him to support patients with a wide range of complex and often overlooked conditions.

Treatment Philosophy

Jo is passionate about identifying and addressing the root cause of a problem rather than simply treating symptoms. His thorough assessment process explores a patient’s injury and pain history to understand how previous issues may be contributing to current dysfunction.

This holistic and investigative approach has helped many patients achieve successful outcomes, particularly those with longstanding conditions that have proven difficult to resolve through conventional treatment.

Beyond the Clinic

As a keen athlete, Jo brings personal experience and insight into the demands of sport, performance, and recovery. Having competed at university level, he remains an enthusiastic football and basketball player. His first-hand understanding of athletic injuries and rehabilitation allows him to connect with patients and guide them confidently back to their chosen activities.

Committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice, Jo combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion to help patients move better, recover faster, and achieve their long-term health and performance goals.

What do his Patients Say?

The best physiotherapy in London!

I have been attending Ealing Physio for a knee injury. I was seen by Jyotish who assessed my knee and diagnosed it in the first session. I have gone from having pain whilst walking to being able to resume my 20km+ running regime in a four month period thanks to Jyotish’s expertise (and a lot of squats). The whole team at Ealing Physio are very professional, the physiotherapists are extremely knowledgeable and clearly experienced in their respective fields. I have had no concerns attending this clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing was respected where possible (obviously not possible during treatment), infection control was very well managed. I have no complaints! Thank you Ealing Physio and Jyotish.- Olivia Jones

After suffering from a knee pain for 2 years (I was literally limping!), and trying 4 physiotherapists, 2 knee surgeons with 2 MRI scans. Jyothish was able to diagnose me and put me in an effective treatment plan which is improving my knee week after week. Highly recommend!  – Tarek Aljneidi
