Golfers elbow
Pain that arises at the bony point on the inside of the elbow and may radiate to the forearm. Seen in golfer's, tennis players and other racket sports, it can also occur in people who perform repeated forearm bends, wrist bends, gripping and screwing actions.
Assessment involves evaluating posture and any neck movements contributing to symptoms.
Golfers elbow physio treatment
Treatment is usually soft tissue mobilisations, manipulations, acupuncture, taping and progressive strength training of the flexor muscles (muscles attached to bony point on the inside of the elbow lying on the front of the forearm) and grip retraining. Not as notorious as its counterpart, tennis elbow. It can easily resolve if treated early like any other overuse injury.
