Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
A pelvic floor physiotherapy commonly treats conditions affecting the pelvic floor muscles, nerves, and connective tissues(Ligamentous connection) of the pelvic region. Some of the conditions are:
- Urinary incontinence (leakage, urgency, frequency)
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Pelvic pain (including vaginismus, dyspareunia, pudendal neuralgia)
- Bowel dysfunction (constipation, fecal incontinence, difficulty emptying)
- Pregnancy & postpartum issues (perineal trauma, diastasis recti, birth recovery)
- Pelvic floor dysfunction in men (post-prostatectomy incontinence, pelvic pain)
- Core and pelvic stability issues (affecting posture, back pain, or movement)
Chhavi Kalra is our lead in assessing and treating pelvic floor dysfunctions and has been trained to treat all of the above condition with focus on restoring strength, coordination, relaxation, and optimal function of the pelvic floor muscles.
